I had one of the best Christmas's! Got some cool gifts..I hung out with my cousin afterward at her house, we went to see this movie with her friend- The Memoirs of Giesha..what a brilliant film. I loved it!!! It is amazing..anyone who hasn't seen it- watch it! It just came out two nights ago. My cousin had read the book before they made a movie of it..so she was filling us in on parts of the movie, which was cool. I am going to buy this book!!!!! Most likely today, I need to, it's so powerful- the storyline. It really opened up my eyes to what is most important in life, even more than they already were, so I was surprised by this.
I have learned not to waste time..I have learned to make my dreams come  true no matter what...I have learned that love is something that can be unexplainable, something mysterious, something which you cannot control, something that must be fought for- to go after it! The universe is so BIG, and yet, I feel like I KNOW why I am here. I have goals that I know need to be met! And I don't quite understand the drive for my goals but they are there nonetheless, so I am going for it!!! I am not going to waste ANY time. TIME can be precious, don't take it for granted! I have also  learned that PATIENCE is a GREAT virtue, something to be proud of if you  have it.

I just did  my second poetry reading last night, I had  loads of fun!!! It was at this really awesome cafe! There were 12 of us poets reading, I was second to last...At the end I won $100 bucks for  an online contest I won last month. So that was really cool!!! Thanks Michele!..if you happen to read this.
It was a little funny for me at first because the mic was up too high, lol, so I got a little nervous trying to adjust it and read at the same time. Ha! Then E. Michele came up and just took the mic off the stand and handed it to me- like duh! I should've done that. lol!
Through reading my second poem I wasn't as nervous, I thought it was a great piece, i was proud of it..and I think i did a fine job of reading it. Practice makes perfect though, so...yeah. My next reading is next month, and I can't wait!
